Miley Cyrus becomes a web designer – a message to the Outsourcing community
I received another email this morning from a company/person offering to provide outsourcing services and was surprised to see that this one was sent by Miley Cyrus.
Now I don’t know much about Miley but I will not be contacting her. Why? Well I’d say she is very busy and I don’t think she would be as focused on delivering web services to us as she would be for Disney or some other TV network, so I think we will pass this time around.
So what’s the point of the email? We’ll as outsourcing becomes more prevalent it’s vital that companies who are looking to provide services make their proposition believable. Sending me an email signed James Bond, Lex Luther or even Miley Cyrus misses the point of that first introductory email. Do you want to develop a relationship with Arekibo? Well then give me your real name and we can take it from there.
For us to even consider doing anything with a company don’t keep sending us emails signed by a celebrity.
A message to the ‘Offshore/Outsourcing company’…don’t pretend to be someone you’re not…we won’t be flattered or find it interesting. If you’re going to engage with a company, make it believable and then we can see if we can develop a relationship. Plus don’t call our office and tell us your name is Miley Cyrus.
